The Grainger Catalog

grainger_catalog_404-1.jpg

If you're reading this and you don't get the Grainger catalog at least once every couple years, there's a disconnect going on. You've got to get on that one. It's even free.

It might even be the most massive catalog in the history of catalogs. Coming in at over 3-inches thick and having 4674 pages, the thing is truly a beast. And what's in the Grainger catalog, you ask? It would actually be easier to list the things that aren't in the Grainger catalog. It pretty much has everything associated with building stuff. It's hard to sum up in a few sentences.

Grainger is also a great company to order from. They've got locations all over the place, so you can just call the main number and they'll see if your local outlet has what you need. If it doesn't they can either ship it direct or to the warehouse nearest you.

Here is a random sampling of what the uber-catalog has:

Page 470 - audio plugs, video adapters, A/V splitters, video converters, and video extenders and repeaters
Page 822 - Indoor air quality meters, Fluke 985 particle counter
Page 1238 - Air brake hose assemblies, hydraulic brake fittings, automotive specialized tools, pneumatic fittings
Page 1598 - Polyurethane wheel casters on cast-iron core
Page 2373 - Modular tote boxes, dividable grid containers, stackable divider boxes
Page 2835 - Rinse tanks, Oily waste cans
Page 3188 - Nonmetallic flat washers, Metric Blue alloy flat washers
Page 4083 - Compression packing seals
Page 4669 - Return air grilles, wood baseboard registers, wood floor registers, wood wall registers, metal floor registers

It's all there. And this is just 9 pages...out of 4674. That's a small 0.193% of the total goods contained within. It's intense. Not to mention way more entertaining than those Uncle John's bathroom readers.

That Grainger catalog looks like a brochure compared to the massive McMaster-Carr catalog.
