Hey Tool Snob--
I am sixty-three, a former college professor and sometime timber-framer in Southern West Virginia. I work with my son, a fine carpenter. I would love the tool, and just might offer it to him for a gift on his upcoming thirtieth birthday.

Love that moniker. I recently have made a career change at age 54 and now find myself doing light carpentry and other such jobs that I learned years ago. Do not miss the office settings whatsoever.
Anyway my tool resources are rather limited and a compound mtire saw would be a much needed addtion. Thanks for the opportunity.
