GMC ADS75 1.1 Amp Detail Sander
GMC has recently released a little detail sander available at a really good price. It's sort of like Skil's Octo, but without all of the attachments. Still, at just a hair over $10, there's no way to loose on this one. It's essentially a little orbital that ends in a little point making it possible to sand those little spots that even hand sanding can't deal with.
The sander has a dust-sealed switch, a hook and loop sanding pad, a vacuum port, and what looks like a nice gripping area.
The feedback on the Amazon.com is almost entirely positive. The one negative review says that the GMC sander isn't as good as the Black & Decker Mouse
(the Mouse is quite a bit more powerful and comes with Octo-like attachments). On the other hand, one of the positive reviews says just the opposite. Go figure. With those two canceling each other out, the rest of the reviews are very much in favor of the little sander.
The GMC Detail Sander comes with ten sheets of sandpaper and a carrying case. GMC's warranty covers the tool for a full two years from the date of purchase. The best part is that you can get all this for ten bucks. Sounds crazy, but it's true. We can't tell if it's a limited-time offer (the regular list price is $39) or what, but it's a steal.
